MMA regulations in Delaware
A public hearing is scheduled for December 8, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the second floor conference room A of the Cannon Building, 861 Silver Lake Boulevard, Dover. The Director will receive and consider input in writing from any person concerning the proposed regulations. Written comments should be submitted to the Office of Director, Division of Professional Regulation, Cannon Building, 861 Silver Lake Blvd. Suite 203, Dover, DE 19904. The final date to submit written or oral comments shall be at the public hearing. Anyone wishing to obtain a copy of the proposed regulations or to make comments at the public hearing should contact the Office of the Director at the above address or by calling (302) 744-4502.
While we might not all agree on the proposed Rules for MMA in Delaware, any negative feedback might only delay the sport being regulated in the State for an uncertain amount of time. Support the proposed rules and hopefully in the near future there might be changes to it.
We hope to see as many people there for the meeting as possible.
We do have a tentative date for the first MMA event under the proposed rules for January 24th in Newark Delaware. Depending on how the meeting December 8th goes we will have further information regarding the event.
We thank everyone for their continued support of Combat in the Cage events and look forward to working with everyone in the near future.
