On April 3, Kevin Papics and Billy McKenna competed in New York Fight Club 3, a Muay Thai, San Da, and Submission Grappling event.
Kevin was scheduled for a San Da fight, but his opponent did not show up. So Kevin stepped up and competed in an Submission Grappling fight against a 40 pound heavier opponent, who was a brown belt under Matt Serra. Kevin lost by kimura armlock.
Billy fought a San Da fight and was very intense as he approached the ring. Billy performed very well as he listened to every suggestion from the corner and landed his techniques proficiently. He dominated his opponent in all three rounds, hurting him with an awesome lateral throw, punches and leg kicks. Billy won the fight with a TKO in the third round.
