On February 28, 2009 in Ruther Glen, VA, TJ Febbo, Mic Muessig, Jeff Morber, and Chris Bé competed in the Barbarian Fight Club Off The Chain MMA event.  Sai Yang was also scheduled to fight.  However, Sai’s opponent was unable to compete on Saturday after getting an infection from his weight loss methods.

TJ Febbo’s fight started with a nice clean combination by TJ and quickly turned into a brawl with both fighters un-loading devastating blows to each other.  Overhand left and right hooks flew through most of the fight leaving both fighters battered, bruised, and escaping consciousness numerous times.  The fight could have gone either way, but TJ caught a knee about 2 minutes into the round.  TJ went down and was told by the referee not to get up.

At the start of the first round, Mic Muessig’s opponent approached with his hands down as if to say hit me.  So Mic obliged with a left hook that knocked his opponent into the cage.  Mic then locked up a guillotine choke and tapped out his opponent in 30 seconds of the first round.

Jeff Morber entered the cage confident from his last win.  Jeff felt his opponent out with some good inside/outside leg kick combinations.  He dominated his opponent throughout the first round with good hand combinations and an occasional knee to the head.  With 10 seconds left in the first round, Jeff locked up a rear naked choke and finished the fight with 3 seconds left in the round.

In the beginning of round 1, Chris Bé exchanged a few punches with his opponent.  His opponent did not want to continue the stand-up fight with Chris, so his opponent took the fight to the ground.  For the rest of the round, it was a chess match of position on the ground until Chris was caught in an Americana and tapped out.
