The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) program focuses on ground fighting and grappling techniques, including building a solid base for defending and escaping from bad positions, reversing and improving position, control from dominant position, and submissions. BJJ classes are taught using a Gi.
BJJ is a great standalone martial art, providing a high intensity/low impact workout, and many opportunities to compete for those who choose to test themselves and take their own knowledge further. BJJ also makes a great complement to anyone’s existing knowledge and experience in martial arts.
Days/Times: Tuesdays at 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Due to the popularity of our Teen & Adult Mixed Martial Arts program, we are starting a Mixed Martial Arts class especially for youth students ages 10-14. The Youth MMA class will be geared more toward the grappling part of the sport, although the class will contain stand up fighting techniques as well. Students in the class will learn techniques from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Greco-Roman Wrestling, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Boxing, and Karate.
Days/Times: Mondays & Wednesdays at 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
