

On Friday, May 28, 2010, World CageFighting Championships presented Memorial Day Combat, an MMA event at Agri-Plex Agricultural Hall in Allentown, PA. Team Hammer had 3 amateur fighters and 1 professional fighter compete in the event.
James Rivers made his amateur MMA debut at the event. James fought a tough fight and survived three rounds with a tough competitor. James lost the fight by decision.
Ricky Umstead controlled most of the first round until the last few seconds where his opponent accidentally caught him with a finger in the eye and blurred his vision. Ricky was unable to see to continue to the second round and lost by TKO.
George Glykas took his opponent down within the first few seconds of the first round. George proceeded to dominate his opponent on the ground until George submitted his opponent in a rear naked choke at 1:28 of the first round. George is now 3-0.
Professional MMA fighter Pat Russo was dominating his opponent throughout the fight. Unfortunately, Pat dislocated his shoulder during a takedown attempt and his opponent won by TKO.
