This program will introduce you to the martial art of Kickboxing, which is based on Thailand's Muay Thai. You will increase your stamina, develop responsive reflexes, and improve your cardiovascular fitness. Kickboxing will also strengthen your arms, legs, shoulders, and abdominals and improve your hand-eye coordination. These characteristics and benefits make Kickboxing a very effective form of close range self-defense, as well as an excellent way to maintain physical fitness.
The Fitness Kickboxing program is designed to develop your hand and foot techniques on heavy bags. This program utilizes Muay Thai Kickboxing techniques to get an intense physical workout. Fitness Kickboxing will help you to build and tone muscle while you burn fat. This class will provide the same benefits as kickboxing techniques in a more aerobic setting.
The workout will focus on your legs as well as your hands to give you an all-around muscle toning workout. You will develop muscles that you never knew you had. At the same time, you will be relieving stress from the day and feeling good about yourself.
For amateur or professional kickboxers, we offer advanced fighter classes, as well as private training sessions with certified trainers. Kickboxers can also bring their own trainer and train in the ring, workout on heavy bags, or lift weights.
Hammer Training & Fitness (formerly LVIRK Training Center) participates in local kickboxing and mixed martial arts events. These events are full contact amateur fights. Due to the hours of hard work and the dedication of the members of Hammer Training & Fitness, several members of Hammer Training & Fitness (formerly LVIRK Training Center) have fought championship fights.
