Mic lives in East Allen Township in PA. Mic has been interested in MMA for years. He did everything he could to get info on how to ground fight and do stand up fighting. He started becoming very good at the ground game but felt the need to test what he knew with others to see if what he learned would work. Mic soon found himself and a few friends at LVIRKMMA and became part of the Team Hammer family. Mic competed and placed at the UGC and NAGA tournaments. more  more

Tommy began his studies of martial arts at the age of 11. He trained in various arts on and off until he settled in Shotokan karate about 27 years ago. On Saturday, November 21, 2009, Coach Rodney "Sledge Hammer" Guignet fought in the co-main event of First State Fights Total Disregard, an amateur Mixed Martial Arts event at Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware.  Coach Rodney was confident and relaxed as he entered the cage in his second amateur MMA fight.  His fans roared as the face-off against Stephen "Chief" Dodson began.   read more more

About LVIRK MMA Team Hammer

LVIRK MMA Team HammerTeam Hammer is a group of Mixed Martial Artists who train under the instruction of Rodney S. Guignet at LVIRK Training Center in Catasauqua, PA - just minutes from the Lehigh Valley Mall, Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton. The mixed martial arts training includes aspects of Wrestling, Submission Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Karate, and Boxing. Coach Rod puts all of these martial arts together so Team Hammer members can become proficient MMA fighters. The training is intense at times but it only makes everyone better.

Training with LVIRK MMA Team Hammer not only encompasses fighting and grappling, but also conditioning and strength training as well. Some of the drills in the Mixed Martial Arts classes include running, lifting weights, plyometrics, stretching, circuit training, hill training, and heavy bag work. The members of LVIRK MMA Team Hammer train together as a team and friends pushing and encouraging each other to become elite fighters and students in mixed martial arts. The Mixed Martial Arts training is designed to perfect your body and your mind so when needed you are the perfect fighting machine. LVIRK MMA Team Hammer consists of men and women looking to get in great condition, compete in submission grappling competitions, and/or become MMA fighters. Whatever the reason, this is the place for you.
